Today is national ‘Make Your Bed Day’ (yes, it’s an actual thing)
There are two types of people: those who make their bed and those who don’t, which are you?
When we live in a student home with other students we see all kinds of habits, but the most basic and first on most of our to-do list is making the bed. Do you make your bed?
Making the bed is about setting an intention to do the little things that bring about an orderly, thoughtful, responsible, balanced, or successful life. In addition to providing a quick sense of daily accomplishment, some people find making the bed calming as well.
A friend of mine grew up in a household where they were encouraged not to make their beds so that their sheets have a chance to air out. This has always intrigued me for both health and laziness reasons.
To make your bed or not to make your bed. . . what do you think?
