Reading many stories of where Valentine’s Day originated from, I found a legend that was inspiring, one legend said that an emperor believed that single men made better soldiers than those who where married and had families. Then came along Valentine who performed marriages for young lovers in secret.

When Valentine’s actions were discovered, the emperor ordered that he be put to death. While in prison Valentine fell in love with a young girl and before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter signed “From your Valentine,”

There are many stories of where Valentine’s day came from, but one thing that we are certain about is that we are not mad about a whole day dedicated to love!
