It’s that time of the year again, scammers are targeting students!

What’s happening: Some individuals are taking rent money and redirecting students to KPA, without proper contracts or property viewings. Remember: KPA will NEVER ask for deposits or payments without a legal contract and a viewing.

How the scam works:

• Fake listings with below-market rents in prime areas.

• No deposit required, or they demand full rent upfront.

Red flags to watch:

• Payments to personal accounts instead of company accounts.

• Requests for money before seeing the property.

Protect yourself & others:

• Always view the property first.

• Check banking details – should be a company account.
